Sony Xperia X vision has tasty specs

There’s often a lull on smartphone news at the end of the year, but things soon pick up again, with CES 2015 taking place in early January and MWC in March. However, an interesting smartphone concept caught our eye that we thought readers might like to take a look at. This is a Sony Xperia X vision that comes with some tasty specs.
This is not the first time we’ve heard of an Xperia X phone, as there have previously been links to a Sony-made Google Nexus device having that name. The render shown here comes from designer Ben Ling and design-wise it bears similarities to the usual type of Xperia styling. However, the back appears to be of polycarbonate or metal and the speakers on the front are understated and almost imperceptible. There’s also a physical camera button.
Ling has also come up with some imagined specs for this concept Xperia X design. They include a 6-inch Quad HD display featuring Sony Live Colour LED technology and Gorilla Glass 4, 3GB of RAM, and LTE category 6. The phone runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and is PlayStation certified with support for PS4 Remote play.
The camera performance is taken care of with a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3-inch camera sensor, 23 mm G Lens and LED flash. 12800 ISO, Exmor RS and BIONZ technology also feature along with 8x digital zoom and Full HD and 4K video capture, while at the front there’s a 5-megapixel camera. The Xperia Z concept phone also supports X-Reality and Super Vivid Mode.
If you liked looking at this Sony Xperia concept you might also like to check out a Sony Xperia ZX design that we showed yesterday that featured a radical specs lineup. What are your thoughts on the Sony Xperia X render pictured here? Do let us know with your comments.
